Steroid Witch-Hunt Costs Lance Armstrong Millions of Dollars in Sponsorships

It seems likely that Lance Armstrong will be stripped of his historic seven Tour de France titles after the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) condemned the professional cyclist as a cheater who used steroids and erythropoietin throughout his career. However, this may be the least of the concerns facing Armstrong. Several sponsors have chosen to abandon Armstrong after the release of the “Reasoned Decision of the United States Anti-Doping Agency on the Disqualification and Ineligibility“. Greg LeMond Claimed to Have Known That Lance Armstrong Doped

Greg LeMond, a two-time Tour de France champion who was the first American to claim the title, feels vindicated by the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s (USADA) lifetime ban of fellow American Lance Armstrong. Armstrong has been accused of systematically doping thoughout his career and using erythropoietin (EPO), anabolic steroids and blood transfusions to fuel his seven Tour de France victories. Lance Armstrong Used Steroids Throughout His Career According to Teammate

The Lance Armstrong witch-hunt has reached its pinnacle with the release of the “Reasoned Decision of the United States Anti-Doping Agency on the Disqualification and Ineligibility [of Lance Armstrong]”. The report is over 200 pages in length and is accompanied by over 1,000 pages of supporting documentation. Eleven former teammates betrayed their former team captain and testified against Armstrong. Their accounts generally corroborate each others in the claim that Armstrong used various banned performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) including erythropoietin (EPO) and anabolic steroids (specifically testosterone) throughout his career. Tyler Hamilton to Release Book with Steroid Allegations Against Lance Armstrong

American cyclist Tyler Hamilton will soon release his tell-all book containing allegations that Lance Armstrong used testosterone, steroids, erythropoietin (EPO) and other prohibited blood boosting techniques. “The Secret Race: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups, and Winning at All Costs” is set to be released by the publisher on September 5, 2012. The publication date was announced after Armstrong revealed he would not fight the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s (USADA) decision to strip him of his seven Tour de France titles for doping.
