Squirrels Teach Bodybuilders How to Use Steroids Safely

Arctic ground squirrels are clearly the “studs” of the squirrel world. They have testosterone levels that are up to two hundred times greater than other species of squirrel.

The Arctic ground squirrel hibernates for eight months during the long Arctic winter. Unlike other hibernators who use stored bodyfat as fuel during hibernation, these squirrels rely on store muscle mass to provide fuel during this period. This is due to the extreme Arctic cold that prevents the squirrels from burrowing below the permafrost meaning that they spend much of their time at temperatures as low as -23° C. [Read more…]

Anabolic Steroids Contributed to Boxer’s Death According to Commission

Steroid Use is Skyrocketing in Australia According to the Media

The use of anabolic steroids is skyrocketing according to media reports. The claims seem to be based on two sources: customs seizures data and interviews with personal trainers at gyms in Australia.

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service announced that it had made 2695 seizures involving anabolic steroids and human growth hormone as of July 2010. This figure represents a 155 percent increase over the 1054 seizures made in the corresponding period last year. [Read more…]
