WWE Randy Orton Suspended for Dianabol

Professional wrestler Randy Orton has reportedly tested positive for an anabolic steroid in a steroid test administered under World Wrestling Entertainment’s Talent Wellness Program. The violation represents the second offense for Orton since the Wellness Policy took effect. Entertainers are suspended for 30 days for the first offense and 60 days for the second offense. WWE Wrestler Rey Mysterio Fails Steroid Test Again

Rey Mysterio, a professional wrestler with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), has been suspended for 60 days after testing positive for anabolic steroids under the WWE’s Talent Wellness Program. Chris Brown Accuses Wrestler CM Punk of Using Steroids

Chris Brown accused World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) heavyweight champion CM Punk of using anabolic steroids and suffering from steroid-induced impotence on Twitter last weekend.  “CM Punk” is the wrestling stage name used by Phillip Jack Brooks. The steroid accusation was made in response to Punk’s criticism of Brown for his brutal physical assault of Rihanna before the 2009 Grammy Awards. Chris Brown became the poster boy for domestic violence after he sent his then-girlfriend Rihanna to the hospital with multiple contusions, a bloody lip and nose and a black eye. [Read more…]

Greco-Roman Wrestler Blames Doctor for Recommending Steroids

The dreams of a Greco-Roman wrestler who had hoped to represent Canada in the 2012 London Olympics have ended after he was caught using anabolic steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERMs). Just as the steroid case against professional wrestler Jeff Hardy concluded, Moore County investigators have initiated a separate steroid case against his brother Matt Hardy. Moore County Sheriff’s deputies experienced a sense of deja vu when they returned to Boys Camp Road in Cameron this week and raided MATT Hardy’s home. Kurt Angle continued to deny using anabolic steroids for performance enhancement in a recent interview with Mac Engel for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The 1996 Olympic gold-medal-winning freestyle wrestler, who has established himself as a popular professional wrestler with the WWE and TNA, maintained that he was prescribed a steroid stack comprised of trenbolone acetate (“tren”) and nandrolone decanoate (“Deca Durabolin” or “Deca”) for legitimate medical purposes and not for performance-enhancement purposes. WWE Wrestler “Sin Cara” Tests Positive for Anabolic Steroids

Professional wrestler Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde, currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the name “Sin Cara”, received a thirty day suspension after violating the WWE Talent Wellness Policy in June 2010. Urive was the first recruit by Paul “Triple H” Levesque as the head of the new talent development department.

Urive had only been with the WWE for a few months before he tested positive for anabolic steroids. Urive previously worked for several years in Mexico’s “lucha libre” under the name “Mistico” where he gained considerable fame and popularity working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Japanese Greco-Roman Wrestler and MMA Prospect Tests Positive for Masteron

Japanese Greco-Roman wrestling champion and MMA prospect Katsuya Kitamura tested positive for the anabolic steroid drostanolone. Drostanolone enanthate is the active ingredient in Masteron. The Japanese Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) banned Kitamura for two years which means he will miss the 2012 London Olympics. The three-time Japanese national champion in the 96-kilo Greco-Roman wrestling weight class had hoped to represent Japan once again on the international stage. [Read more…]
