WWE Wrestler Rey Mysterio Fails Steroid Test Again

Rey Mysterio, a professional wrestler with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), has been suspended for 60 days after testing positive for anabolic steroids under the WWE’s Talent Wellness Program. Floyd Landis Bogus Steroid Defense Fund Under Investigation

Assistant United States Attorney Phillip Halpern is reportedly investigating disgraced American cyclist Floyd Landis as a target of a federal steroid-related fraud investigation. Police Discover Steroids After Brawl Involving Colorado State Football Players

A trio of college football students have brought attention to their alleged use of anabolic steroids, and possibly human growth hormone (hGH), via their involvement in a beating of two undergraduate students at the Colorado State University (CSU) on Friday, April 6, 2012. CSU football players Mike Orakpo, Colton Paulhus and Nordly Capi and CSU freshman student Donny Gocha have been charged with “disorderly conduct” which is a class 3 misdemeanor under state law. Canadian Football Player Blames Steroid Use on His Depression

Canadian Football League (CFL) player Jordan Matechuk blamed depression for his decision to buy large quantities of anabolic steroids. Matechuk was busted by the United States Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) during a secondary inspection at the International Bridge in Sault Sainte Marie (Michigan). The professional football player had 543 oral steroid pills and 262 milliliters of injectable steroids in his possession as he returned to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats training camp. [Read more…]

Phil Baroni Supports Steroid Use in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Phil “The New York Badass” Baroni has expressed his full support of the use of anabolic steroids in mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions. Baroni discussed steroids during an open and candid interview with Fight Sport Asia. Alistair Overeem Steroid Defense Strategy Successful at Appeal Hearing

UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem appealed his suspension for anabolic steroids before the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) on April 24, 2012. He failed to win his appeal before the NSAC members. Local police have accused two men of manufacturing anabolic steroids in the heart of a community east of the Bay Area in California. Manteca, a city that fashions itself as the “Family City” but whose name means “lard” according to a literal translation from Spanish, was the apparent home of a steroid-producing underground laboratory (UGL). Arbitrator for Ryan Braun’s Steroid Hearing Delays Explaining Decision

Milwaukee Brewers’ Ryan Braun tested positive for anabolic steroids when he failed a testosterone – epitestosterone ratio (T:E ratio) screen after a Brewers-Cardinals playoff game in October 2011. He was suspended for 50-games under the Major League Baseball’s steroid policy. Braun record a T:E ratio in excess of 20+.

Arbitrator Shyam Das overturned Braun’s suspension on February 23, 2012 presumably due to a violation MLB’s specimen collection protocol. A written explanation of Das’s surprising ruling was expected within thirty days as mandated by Major League Baseball’s labor contract. Jose Canseco Signs Contract in Non-Steroid Tested Can-Am Baseball League

Admitted steroid user and Twitter superstar Jose Canseco has finally found a professional baseball team to play for this year. The Worcester Tornadoes signed the former all-star baseball player Jose Canseco to a single-season contract. The Worcester ball club is part of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball (Can-Am League).
