Charlie Sheen thinks the use of anabolic steroids should be allowed in Major League Baseball – at least on a limited basis. Sheen tells Sports Illustrated that every MLB baseball team should be allowed one “total f*cking steroid maniac”. Treasure Coast Pharmacy Raided by Drug Enforcement Agency

Treasure Coast Pharmacy, a Florida-based compounding pharmacy well known in the bodybuilding community for compounding custom formulations of anabolic steroids, was raided by several U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents early on Tuesday morning. The Florida Department of Health also participated in the raid. Agents seized several boxes of documents possibly containing records of prescribing doctors and pharmacy clients. [Read more…]

Steroid Distribution at Planet Nutrition in Lake Charles

Jordan & Chris Nutrition LLC doing business as Planet Nutrition in Lake Charles (Louisiana) was a distribution point for anabolic steroids manufactured by a local underground steroid lab according to court documents. Jordan Berza and Christopher Gass, the owners of Planet Nutrition, have pleaded guilty to the conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and money laundering charges. Three additional individuals, out of 13 co-defendants in the case, have also pleaded guilty to steroid conspiracy charges. Prosecutors expect more guilty pleas to follow. [Read more…]

UK Police Officer Faces Trial on Steroid Charges After Found Not Guilty of Rape

Suspended West Yorkshire Police Officer Mark Carter pleaded not guilty to a charge related to the possession of anabolic steroids. Police discovered 277 tablets of the steroid stanozolol when they arrested Carter on suspicion of raping a man and sexually assaulting three other men at the Etap Hotel in Leeds on December 19, 2009. Secret Service Agent Sues Oklahoma Narcotics Agent for ‘Muscle Profiling’

United States Secret Service Agent Lester Blount has filed a lawsuit against Brian Surber of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (OBNDD) in Oklahoma County District Court. The lawsuit alleges civil rights violations and malicious prosecution by Brian Surber. World Anti-Doping Agency Falsely Accused Athletes of Using Steroids

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) determined that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has falsely accused athletes of using anabolic steroids due to errors by one of its formerly accredited worldwide laboratories.
