British Politician Horrified As Steroid-Using Son Wants to Be a Pro Bodybuilder

Roger Clemens Acquitted on Steroid-Perjury Charges as Jury Rebukes Feds

It took a jury only one full day of deliberations after listening to arguments in the nine-week perjury trial of baseball legend Roger Clemens. Clemens was accused by the government of lying about the use of anabolic steroids and human growth hormone (hGH) when he appeared before Congress in 2008. The Justice Department charged him with six counts of obstruction of Congress, false statements and perjury. The jury acquitted Clemens of all charges. [Read more…]

Suicidal Cop on Steroids Invites Police to Shoot Out

A veteran New Jersey officer with the Clifton Police Department exchanged gunfire with SWAT teams after he barricaded himself inside his estranged wife’s home on Father’s Day. Richard Klementovich was eventually taken into custody after a ten-hour standoff. The Clifton cop had told his wife in an email that he was using anabolic steroids, was suicidal and had hoped that cops would kill him during the standoff. His death wish was “suicide by cop”. Former NYPD Sergeant Involved in Steroid Scandal Busted Stealing from Apple Store

A former New York Police Department (NYPD) sergeant involved in a 2007 NYPD steroid scandal was recently busted stealing iPods, iPhones and iPads from the Apple Store in SoHo (New York). The irony of the arrest was that former “New York’s finest” was hired a security guard to protect the Apple Store from theft. Rather than actually prevent theft, he has been accused of stealing more than 100 high-end consumer electronic devices. [Read more…]

Lance Armstrong Steroid Allegations Don’t Scare Sponsors Away

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) decided to bring formal charges against Lance Armstrong accusing him of using various prohibited performance enhancing drugs and methods including the anabolic steroid testosterone, erythropoietin (EPO) and blood doping. But Armstrong’s long-time sponsors don’t really care. They have decided to pledge their full support behind Armstrong in spite of the charges that Lance doped for over a decade. Bodybuilding Cop Busted for Steroids After Apartment Manager Contacts Police

A patrol officer with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department has been accused of operating a possible anabolic steroid laboratory in his apartment. Gary Pilipovich faces charges of possession of Schedule III controlled substances, manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic needles based on the discovery of steroid paraphernalia during the execution of a search warrant of his apartment by the Porter County Drug Task Force on Friday, June 8, 2012. USADA Formally Accuses Lance Armstrong of Using Steroids and hGH

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has formally accused multiple Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong of using anabolic steroids and human growth hormone (hGH). In addition to steroids and hGH, Armstrong is also accused of using banned corticosteroids and saline and plasma injections to mask the use of erythropoeitin (EPO). [Read more…]

Steroid Intoxication Blamed for Death of Bodybuilder

A 26-year old Bulgarian bodybuilder, who worked out regularly and happened to use anabolic steroids, died shortly after he was admitted to the Naval hospital in Varna. The man reported feeling sick and experiencing difficulty in breathing. The bodybuilder allegedly stacked oral and injectable steroids in a quest to build muscle. He was found to have an enlarged heart and blood clots in his lungs and legs. However, Bulgarian doctors have blamed his death on “steroid intoxication.” [Read more…]

Ben Johnson: Using Steroids Was “Right Thing to Do”

Disgraced Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson believed that using anabolic steroids as an elite Olympic sprinter was “the right thing to do”.  Johnson made the comments during an interview with journalist and author Richard Moore.
