Coroner Cites Steroids as Contributor to Death of British Bodybuilder David Kilroy

An inquest into the death of a 46-year old former competitive bodybuilder has been conducted to determine the cause of death. David Kilroy was found dead at his home by his daughter on May 15, 2012. The inquest involved an autopsy and examined the use of various drugs by the deceased, including anabolic steroids, cocaine and alcohol. AXS Fitness Busted for Steroid Sales According to Spanish Authorities

Spain’s Guardia Civil has arrested four men involved in the illegal distribution of anabolic steroids during an investigation codenamed “Operación Gym”. The steroid dealing allegedly operated out of a sports nutrition supplement store in the Madrid suburb of Las Rozas. The owner and an employee of ‘AXS Fitness Nutricion Deportiva’ were arrested at the store and two other individuals were arrested at their homes on June 5, 2012.  [Read more…]

NPC Ohio Bodybuilding Champion Busted for Selling Steroids

The winner of the 2009 NPC Ohio State Bodybuilding Championship has been been indicted by a Warren County grand jury for trafficking anabolic steroids. NPC bodybuilder Drew Smith was charged with thirteen felony counts of drug trafficking (steroids) in various degrees and one first degree felony count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Ten Bodybuilders Caught Using Steroids at the 2011 Arab Games

The sport of bodybuilding suffered a major embarrassment at the 2011 Pan Arab Games in the Qatari capital of Doha after ten bodybuilders tested positive for anabolic steroids. The gold medalist is almost every weight class was disqualified for the use of steroids. Steroid and Loan Sharking Charges Setback for National Level Bodybuilder

NPC bodybuilder Sean Harris was on top of the world last year after having a break-out year competing as an amateur bodybuilder. The bodybuilder won the heavyweight and overall titles at the 2010 NPC Atlantic States Bodybuilding Championships. Texas Cracking Down on Steroid-Using Bodybuilders “Wanting to Cheat the System”

The head of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is working to stop the flow of anabolic steroids to bodybuilders “wanting to cheat the system.” Bodybuilders who use steroids are apparently not only breaking the law but are also immoral cheaters according to Lt. Phillip Cash. The term “cheater” is usually applied to athletes involved in competitive sports who use performance-enhancing drugs in violation of the sport’s anti-doping code; they cheat the other athletes who presumably follow the rules. Yet bodybuilders who use steroids outside of a sporting context in order to improve physical appearance aren’t really “cheating” anyone else. Nonetheless, Lt.
